Thankful for the Word

Psalm 38
This is another psalm of David, pouring out his heart to God over his sin. I have felt this way, especially when I spent almost 7 whole years feeling this way and was in and out of the hospital for major depression and suicidal attempts…. and I was just
THANKING GOD this morning for a few things as I cried tears of joy instead of depression…
1. Thank God for David’s heart
2. Thank God that David had faith to see his Savior in God
3. Thank God that He had David’s heartfelt prayers written down for us to be able to see what worshiping and trusting God in spirit and in truth looks like, to see what true faith and repentance is, to know we are not alone in falling & then believing God to pick us back up
4. Thank God for preserving His Word for us today to have to encourage us and to teach us and bless us and to help us KNOW HIM
TODAY, I JUST THANK MY FATHER, my Everlasting Father, Jesus, I thank God, my Lord, my Savior, my Comforter, my Teacher, my All.

‘Til It Burns In Your Bones

We all have shadows

In our past

Things we don’t want

To see clearly

We all have been hurt

Sometime, by someone

And at times that hurt

It is so real

There are times

When I must admit

That you hurt me

And there are times

When the pain is so raw

But I know that you

You did your best

And sometimes life is hard

But I gotta remember

Yes, we all must remember

That we are called to forgive

Oh, just as we are forgiven –

So shall we forgive.

There is a choice to be made

Are we gonna hang on

Or can we let it go

I know there will be times

When the pain returns to haunt you

But at that moment

You have a choice to make

Are you gonna hang on to it forever

‘Til it burns in your bones

Or are you gonna

Just give it to Jesus

Yes, just give it to Jesus

Make your choice for love

And let it go

Beautiful Is Thine Soul

Beautiful is thine soul

Trapped deeply within

Longing for sweet release

Fear and Guilt form thine chains

Binding and choking thine sweet soul

As it yearneth for escape

The chance to love again

Love freely again

That Love can melt thine chains

Which bind thee and cause weeping of bitter tears

Feel that Love and that Joy

The warmth of their caress

The heat of their kiss

Feel the fear and guilt loosen

As the chains are melting away

Renewed hope and trust can re-open

The door which thee have shut

To thine Maker, thine creator

Thou must remember thou art thine soul

It is thine soul which are beautiful

Thine mind and body thou can change

Remember from where thine soul came

From where thy soul flew

Allow thine soul to soar again

To feel again

To love again

The love of God, thine Maker,

Thine Creator, thine Father
